These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the use of YouTube Growth Engine, a private desktop automation tool used by its owner to produce and upload long-form video content to their own YouTube channel. YouTube Growth Engine is operated by the same person who builds Didi, but it is a separate product from the Didi mobile app — if you are looking for Didi's own terms, see usedidi.com/terms instead. By installing, authorizing a YouTube channel with, or otherwise using YouTube Growth Engine, you agree to these Terms.

What Smart Consumer Guides is

It is a single-operator desktop application. It researches and verifies source material, drafts a script from verified facts, generates narration and illustrative imagery, renders a finished video, and — after the operator reviews and approves it — uploads that video to the operator's own YouTube channel as a private video with its title, description and custom thumbnail. It is a production and publishing tool, not a public service, not a social network, and not a product offered to members of the public. There are no user accounts and no sign-up.

Authorized use

The tool is intended to be used only by its owner, and only against a YouTube channel the owner personally owns and controls. You agree to use it only to upload content you hold the rights to publish, to keep the computer and the stored authorization token secure, and not to authorize it against any YouTube channel you are not entitled to manage.

YouTube integration and permissions

The tool connects to YouTube through Google's official OAuth 2.0 flow and the YouTube Data API v3. It requests these scopes, and only these:

• youtube.upload — to upload a video file to the authorized channel.
• youtube.readonly — to read the authorized channel's own identity, and the processing status of videos this tool uploaded.
• youtube.force-ssl — required by the API to set a custom thumbnail, and to change a video's visibility when the operator explicitly chooses to.

The tool never requests and never accesses comments, subscriber identities, private messages, watch history, viewer analytics, or any YouTube or Google data outside these scopes. Use of the YouTube API through this tool is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service, the YouTube API Services Developer Policies and the Google Privacy Policy, which apply independently to the authorized channel and to any content uploaded through the tool.

Uploads are private; publishing is a separate deliberate act

Every video the tool uploads is created with a privacy status of private. The application contains no automated path that makes a video public: making one public is a separate command that requires the operator to state their approval explicitly, and no part of the production pipeline can invoke it. Nothing becomes visible to the public as a side effect of producing or uploading a video.

Content and ownership

Video content produced and uploaded through the tool belongs to its owner. The tool claims no ownership over anything passed through it — it is a production and publishing pipeline, not a content repository or licensor. The operator is responsible for ensuring that the content uploaded complies with YouTube's Community Guidelines and with the rights of any third party whose material it draws on, including sources cited in a video's description.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the tool to upload content that infringes the rights of others, that violates YouTube's Community Guidelines or Terms of Service, or that is unlawful; not to use it to interfere with, overload or circumvent the limits of the YouTube API; and not to represent its output as anything other than what it is. Where a video uses synthetic narration or generated imagery, the operator is responsible for disclosing that, as the tool's own generated descriptions do.

Availability and warranty

The tool is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. It depends on third-party services — YouTube's API among them — whose availability, quotas and policies are outside our control, and it may stop working at any time if those change. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any loss arising from its use, including failed, duplicated or incorrect uploads.

Termination

Authorization can be withdrawn at any time from Google Account → Third-party apps & services, which immediately ends the tool's access to the channel. The tool may also simply be deleted from the computer; it has no server-side component to disable.

Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
